Do You Look like a Poker pro?
If you watch televised poker shows these days, you will see that there is apparently a poker uniform. The pros all wear dark glass, baseball caps, and dark colors. This has become the de facto outfit for poker online players for a variety of reasons, one of which is the fact that the viewers at home simply assume that anyone not dressed like a pro isn’t a pro. It is a harsh critique to be sure, but wide spread.
The problem with the poker uniform is that you will see the same thing if you go into any casino across the globe. It seems like every amateur in the world is convinced that they will be imbued with special poker powers if they simply don the appropriate clothes. The question to ask yourself is whether you look like a pro. Against all obvious logic, it is far better that you do not look like the pros you see strutting their stuff on television. Coming in to a casual game with the standard poker uniform on just makes you look like a poser who watches too much television. If you look like a poker pro, ditch the ensemble immediately. Everyone at the table will respect you a lot more out of uniform.
